What a dissapointment. Many buildings floating in the air, strange huge brown rectangle objects in the open sea, objects without textures, tons of terrain glitches. And most of all: Sandnessjoen is unplayable for me. With Vulkan SDK, 32 GB ram, a RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB ram, and just the small default Cruiser boat I don’t get more than 4 FPS in this area. My recommendation: hands off.

Hello, I suggest you contact the author to sort out your problems. With those specs you should be able to run the scenery decently.

Fantastic scenery of Norway for Virtual Sailor. Perfect to use if you have any small passanger or fishing boats. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to sail along Norwegian coast. the details on land makes this scenery worth the price the scenery sells for.

As I can’t edit my review, here’s an updated one: With a lot of support from the developer I could finally make this scenery run.
1. Strange objects and floating buildings: You have to untick “Use Tile Objects” or replace the “tile_objects.txt” file with an empty one. Now these objects, which are not part of the scenery, disappear.
2. Unplayable low frame rates: It’s an issue with vessels witch an echo sounder. For every boat/ship you want to use in this scenery with an echo sounder, you have to remove the “dgecho” panel or replace it with another one.
All things I didn’t know and should be in the description here and in an instruction file. Now the scenery runs with 65+ frames even in the Sandnessjoen area. The scenery is really nicely done, but with all these problems to make it run and the necessary ships editing, I would give it 3 stars, so both my ratings together show exactly that.
