Cruise Smeralda Grimaldi Lines / AF Mia Adria Ferries
The Cruise Smeralda is a 200.65-metre Ro-Ro passenger ferry built in 1997 for Minoan Lines, originally entering service as Ikarus. Renamed Ikarus Palace in 2001, she was transferred to Grimaldi Lines in 2016 and renamed Cruise Smeralda, featuring the company’s distinctive red and white livery. Designed for high-speed Mediterranean crossings, she can carry over 1,500 passengers and approximately 600 vehicles, reaching speeds of around 27 knots. In October 2023, she was acquired by Adria Ferries and renamed AF Mia, entering service on routes between Italy and Albania.
