Hello ive found this shop and the models look pretty good. To buy something, I need to create an account. But how do I know that my personal information like email or payment data is safe?
Were excatly does my data go? Or were is this shop located and why isnt there any information about the company behind it? Who runs this whole thing? From wich country does this operate and were is my data saved? I also couldnt find a real adress or name on the “about” page. It only says “collaboration between several 3D-modeling enthusiasts”. Sounds like a 3d artist studio.
Theres only an email adress, thats not very much information. Are the ship models licensed (brand and company names) since there are names and logos from the shipping companys included. For example, does the Carnival Corporation know that you are using their brand and names for this model?
Other question, are the addons/models being updated once you bought them? So lets say I would buy a ship addon and then its being updated, do I need to pay again for the update?
Thx for answering
Erik
Hello, the company is based in Gothenburg, Sweden and registered here. The website is hosted by one.com on their servers so the data goes there.
I’m myself doing most of the work here but as said on the about page, it is a collaboration between many (about 30 at this point), 3D-artists.
The models are not licensed on behalf of SIM3D. On SIM3D the creator of the model is responsible for having the correct rights to publish their models. If there is any issue SIM3D reserves the right to remove the content from the site.
If there is an update of the model, you get this for free unless there is any other agreement in the description of the model.
If you have any more questions I suggest you read the “Terms of Use” page or email sim3d@snabbserver.com Thank you.
